We are looking for a dedicated OTR Dispatcher to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success by working as a team player to help manage and coordinate our over-the-road operations.

Job Overview: The OTR Dispatcher is a crucial part of our operations, responsible for ensuring that our trucks are efficiently utilized and our drivers are well-supported. This role involves posting trucks, fielding calls, researching loads, and building strong relationships with customers, drivers, brokers, and other team members. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills. This role requires effectively managing multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load Management:
• Post trucks and field incoming calls.
• Research and secure loads that align with our operational goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, drivers, brokers, and other team members.

• Fleet Coordination:
• Monitor the timeliness of trucks and deliveries based on contractual agreements.
• Track drivers through digital software to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate effectively with a fleet of drivers to ensure smooth operations.

• Communication:
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Demonstrate strong phone and email communication skills as well as the ability to listen and respond effectively.
• Be a reliable point of contact for load-related inquiries and issues.

• Negotiation and Problem Solving:
• Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure favorable load terms and conditions.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during the transportation process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an OTR Dispatcher or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the trucking industry and logistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Proficient in using load boards and transportation management systems.
• Reliable and trustworthy team player
• Proficient computer, email, and phone skills
